On a recent trip to Bali, we managed to squeeze in a jam packed shoot schedule, which is what we tend to do when we organise our destination trips with couples.
One couple that we have a serious soft spot for given our long spanning friendship, is Allie and Willie.
We photographed them back in February in Japan and as the year ticked by, our paths crossed again over in Bali, so it seemed only natural that we plan another shoot with them as we always have so much fun when we all get together.
Allie and Willie are set to be married later this year in Taipei but wanted to maximise their time in Bali with us by capturing some breathtaking images of them both against a vastly different background to that of Japan.
With our couple staying in the stunning Villas of Awarta in Nusa dua, we were spoilt for choice with romantic settings, vibrant colours and a tropical backdrop that is unmistakably and recognisably ‘Bali’
We then decided to venture out to the Suluban Beach cliffs for something a little more rustic and wild.
It was here that some of the most striking shots were captured, all with natural light whilst competing with the elements of mother earth (wind, waves, rocks and sand) Allie looked like an ethereal goddess in her gown supplied by Stellar Atelier Dress Hire Studio, perched on a giant rock that made the entire shoot feel like something strait out of a fairy-tale.
It was our utmost pleasure to take Allie and Willie on this epic journey through the beautiful backdrop of the Balinese landscape and tell their story through our eyes, via our photographs that capture their personalities so well.
